Cambridge exam preparation

Zoss Language Services can offer your company Cambridge Exam Preparation Courses.  If you are interested in such a course, we can guarantee that if you or your employees are willing to work hard and commit to this exam, we have the teachers who know how to help you get the job done.  Our passing rate with previous students is excellent.   In case you are not familiar with the Cambridge exams, here’s an overview of the tests as well as the the preparation courses we offer.

General English
KET is an exam that recognizes the ability to deal with everyday written and spoken English at a basic level; therefore, KET exam preparation courses aim to get people to a pre-intermediate level, A2 Waystage in accordance to the Common European Framework.
 
PET is an exam for people who can use everyday written and spoken English at an intermediate level or B1 in accordance to the Common European Framework.  It covers all four language skills — reading, writing, listening and speaking. Preparing for the exam is a popular way to develop and improve language skills because it provides practical language practice in a variety of everyday work, study and leisure situations. 

FCE  (First Certificate in English) [recommended by Zoss Language Services] is an exam which tests English at an upper intermediate level, B2 Common European Framework . The exam covers writing, reading, grammar, listening and speaking. The course will prepare students for all these different parts of the exam. In addition you will do a lot of work on areas of general English. At the end of the course we want you to pass the exam but we also hope to build your confidence and “real world” knowledge.

CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) is an exam that tests English at an advanced level, C1 Common European Framework.  All companies who decide to do the course will be given a test to decide if their starting level is appropriate. The test also serves as a needs analysis, which enables the teacher to compile material to work on specific requirements of the students in the class. The exam covers writing, reading, grammar, listening and speaking.  The aim of the course is to give the student the necessary grounding to enable them to pass the exam. 

Business English
BEC (Business English Certificate) is an ideal English language exam if you are preparing for a career in business or, for company owners, these courses and the subsequent certificates from Cambridge University can be excellent tools for you to:

1) monitor the progress of your employees'' education
2) promote that you have certified levels of English for your employees. 

As these exams are internationally renowned, showing that you have certified employees could be an advantage when submitting tenders, applying for EU funding, etc.

There are three different levels of BEC:
BEC Preliminary: B1 Common European Framework
BEC Vantage: Upperintermediate; B2 Common European Framework [recommended by Zoss Language Services]
BEC Higher: Advanced; C1  Common European Framework
